In order to switch the firmware on the VCI-100SE FW 1.4 you need to push and hold the small push buttons on the top left of the unit next to the list browse/load buttons (labeled FX presets 1 and 2 on newer overlays). To switch back to FW 1.4 you want to turn off the unit, then hold the FX Preset 2 button and turn the unit back on. Pressing the FX Preset 1 button will put the unit in an older firmware
